Song 10: - Bethlehem by Schönberg and Alain Boublil

    Information:

    This song is fairly slow and gentle. It starts quietly and gradually builds up on page 4 section 3 is loud and is very loud at the bottom of page 5.

    Section 1 - from the beginning to bar 22 on page 3. After a 2 bar piano introduction all the voices sing in harmony with the sopranos singing the melody. After the first 8 bars of singing it is then repeated with a short extension from bar 11 to bar 22. It gets slightly louder from bar 13 to bar 21 when it becomes quieter.

    Section 2 - This starts quietly on bar 23 and is a new melody sung by the Sopranos. The music becomes more agitated from bar 26 when everyone joins in mainly in harmony. At bar 31 the music gradually gets louder to the beginning of section 3 when it is loud and the key has changed. The last 2 bars of section 2 ie bars 33 and 34 get louder and slow down.

    Section 3 - bar 35 to the end. This is basically the same as section 1 with a slight extension. It begins loudly and on page 5 gets louder till it is very loud at bar 47. The end is loud and becomes gradually slower and slightly quieter over the last few bars.
