Song 1: Takadamu - Lead the way

    Information:

    This song is a fairly quick and fairly loud most of the time.
    It is divided into 3 main parts for each voice. It has descant solo towards the final section of the song. Parts of the song is sung in Swahili. THe words and pronunciations can be found on the back page.

    1st Section Page 2 till end of first line of page 6.The parts are in harmony till the top of page 4. From the middle of page 4 the ladies sing in unison and then the men sing a similar phrase This is in Swahili. All parts then sing in harmony till the top of page 6.

    2nd Section: Pages 6 and 7. The next 4 lines are sung in harmony in Swahili. From the end of line 1 on page 7 the parts come in one at a time ( starting with the bass ) sing together and they all sing step by step at the end of page 7.

    3rd Section: Page 8 to the end. From page 8 to page 10 all voices sing in harmony. A Soprano solo sing a descant for page 8. Then all continue singing in harmony to the top of page 10. The Soprano part mainly sings the melody with other parts sing a harmony to the tune. Then the soprano, also and tenor sing in harmony whilst the bass sing base answer to the end. It dies off eowards the end.
